**SQUEAKY CLEAN HAIR**
Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with two teaspoons of shampoo and your hair will feel squeaky clean.
Banana Hair Mask
<<For very dry or damaged hair.>>
1 banana
2-3 dollops of mayonnaise
1tbls.olive oil
Put banana in blender and puree until completely smooth.
(You don't want clumps of banana in your hair.)
Then add mayo and oil and blend until smooth and creamy.
Apply to hair. Let sit for 15-30 minutes.
Rinse with warm water and shampoo as usual.
REVITALIZING HAIR MASQUE
2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 mashed avocado
Mix ingredients and apply to damp hair. Leave on 10 minutes.
For extra conditioning, wrap hair in hot, wet towel for 20
minutes. Rinse well with warm water. For extra shine, follow
with a cold water rinse.
~~~ Easy Egg & Olive Oil Hair Mask ~~~
Ingredients:
2 eggs
4Tbls. olive oil
Directions:
Mix whole eggs with olive oil. Smooth through hair. Wrap
head with Saran Wrap and allow to penetrate for 10
minutes. Rinse well.

~~~ Chamomile Hair Brightners For Blonde Hair ~~~
Ingredients:
6 Chamomile Tea Bags
1/2C Plain Yogurt
7 drops Lavender Oil
Directions:
Bring 1 C of water to boil and steep tea bags for 15 minutes.
Discard tea bags. Combine yogurt and 7 drops of lavender oil,
mix throughly. Apply the mixture to dry hair, working through
the ends. Cover head in plastic wrap and condition for 30
minutes. Shampoo hair as usual.
BLONDE HAIR BRIGHTENER
2 cups white vinegar
2 cups water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup chamomile flowers
Combine ingredients in a glass or enamel pan and boil for 15 minutes.
Strain, cool and store in a tightly capped bottle.
After shampooing, pour 1/2 cup over the hair, then rinse.

HENNA TREATMENT
(Best for Auburn and Brown Hair)
Henna Powder (named Rajasthani , Red Henna).
1 Egg beaten
2 Tablespoons Olive oil
Coffee, Tea, or Water
Take the Henna powder and add one beaten egg and enough
coffee/tea/water to make an easy flowing batter . Add 2tbsp of Olive oil. Refrigerate
overnight.
Next day apply it on clean hair. Starting from the root to the tip of
your hair. Take your hair in a bunch of strands - by the end of the
application you should made a bun. Cover it with a shower cap and let it
set for 2 full hours. After that rinse it off with warm water- do not
shampoo. Dry your hair normally and apply hot olive oil. Let that stay
overnight. Next day shampoo it- on the final rinse add 1 tbsp of honey in
the water.

*GO AWAY GREY!!*
1) Potatoes: Boil potato peels in water, strain, and cool. Use the
strained water as an after-shampoo rinse to darken grey hair
2) Sage covers the grey when used consistently over a period of time.
Simmer 1/2 cup dried sage in 2 cups of water for 30 minutes. Steep for
2-3 hours. Strain, use as rinse on clean hair. Leave on until hair has
dried, then rinse out.
3) Mix 1 tablespoon of apple-cidar vinegar with one gallon of warm
water, use as final rinse to brighten grey hair.
4) Use an infusion of hollyhock (blue-purple flowers) to remove the
yellow cast from grey hair.

DANDRUFF SHAMPOO
Formula:
1/2 cup baby shampoo
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons apple juice
1/2 teaspoon rum extract
6 finely ground cloves
3 crushed aspirins
Instructions
In a blender, mix all ingredients on low for 30 seconds. Wet the hair
with warm water and shampoo the mixture into the hair well. Rinse with
warm water.
Makes 1/2 cup. Cover and refrigerate. Discard after 3 days.

Moisture and Volume Hair Treatment - For fine dry hair
2 T. molasses
2 T. unflavored gelatine
1 T. sweetened condensed milk
1 T. stale beer
Combine ingredients in a small bowl. Comb or brush into hair. Cover hair with a plaster shower cap or wrap with a sheet of plastic wrap. Cover with a thick terrycloth towel. Leave the treatment on for 30 minutes, then rinse in warm water. Shampoo the hair. Makes one application
~~~ Hempy Chick Hair Pomade ~~~
6 ounces organic hemp seed oil
2 ounces babassu oil
1 ounce beeswax
1 ounce shea butter (unrefined, Ghana)
1/8 ounce ylang ylang
3 drops clove
1 drop geranium
1 drop sandalwood
1 drop neroli
Combine hemp seed oil, babassu oil and shea butter in a heat
proof measuring cup (Pyrex is nice to use). Place the cup
containing the oils and butter into a pan of boiling water and
heat until wax is nearly melted, stirring occasionally. Remove
from heat once the wax is nearly melted.
Stir the mixture to make sure all wax has melted into the
liquefied oils. Add the essentail oils and stir again to ensure
the mix.
Pour Hair Pomade into clean jars and allow to cool before
capping. You can store this for up to about 3 months. As
always, be sure to use clean fingers to dispense the product
to minimize contamination.
To use Hair Pomade, massage it into the scalp and hair ends
while your hair is still wet from shampooing. Comb through and
enjoy the curls, volume and radiance!!

Queen's Magic Water
This water can be used as an astringent, aftershave, deodorant, hair
and skin tonic and even as an inhaled headache remedy:
2 Tablespoons fresh rose petals
1 Tablespoon dried lavender
1 Tablespoon dried rosemary
1 Tablespoon dried sage
1 Tablespoon grated orange peel
1 Tablespoon grated lemon peel
2 Tablespoons dried or fresh mint leaves
½ cup apple cider vinegar
Combine the apple cider vinegar with the above ingredients.
Put in an air-tight glass jar, let steep for about 2 weeks.
Strain through a paper coffee filter and add 1 1/2 cups pure distilled
rosewater**.
Pour into a decorative, air tight decanter and use daily.
Distilled Rosewater Recipe**
¼ cup rose petals
1 1/2 cups bottled distilled water
Bring water to a boil, remove from heat and stir in rose petals.
Let steep for one hour. Cool and use.

*HOMEADE SHAMPOO RECIPE*
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water
4 chamomile tea bags
4 teaspoons castile soap flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons liquid vegetable glycerin.
Directions:
Boil 1 1/2 cups of water; add 4 chamomile tea bags and boil for ten
minutes. Remove the tea bags then add 4 teaspoons castile soap flakes and
1 1/2 teaspoons of liquid glycerin. Blend well. Put in a bottle and
store in a cool place until you use it. Experiment with orange pekoe
tea, herbal tea, and blackberry tea.

*CLARIFYING EGG SHAMPOO*
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup water
1 cup gentle shampoo
DIRECTIONS: Put all the ingredients into a bowl. Whisk ingredients together for a couple of minutes, or until blended. Massage mixture into your hair and rinse with cool water.

*FATTENING CONDITIONER FOR HEALTHY HAIR*
1 cup of real mayonnaise
1 ripe avocado
Cut avocado in half and remove pit. Scoop out the avocado and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise and combine ingredients.
(Do not use low-cal mayonnaise).
Work the mixture into your hair. If your hair is oily just cover the mixture onto the ends of your hair.
Cover head with a plastic covering, and then wrap a warmed damp towel over the plastic covering. Leave mixture on your hair for 15-20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
