After getting caught in the sea of baby needs and wants, I wanted to make my very own list of what I really needed and honestly tell you what you don't need.

Do a websearch for baby registry or baby checklists for more advice.

NEEDS:

Crib & good crib mattress (child will use crib mattress until 3-4 yrs old in toddler bed)

playpen --preferable one that can be taken down and set up easily

Bouncy chair -we used this A LOT.

sling (tried this but only used it a couple of times.)

Good diaper bag

boppe -pillow.

Diapers!

Some good disposable diapers.

Formula.

A car seat

A really good stroller as you will use this until the child is 2-3 yrs old.

baby bedding

digital camera to take lots of pictures.

Movie camera would be nice --but not needed.

Baby book

Baby 12 months calendar to write down baby's 1st things.

a few rattles and other toys

Baby bathtub

Baby clothes:

A very special coming home outfit -to wear one time.

A baptism outfit -to wear one time.

a bunch of sleepers (number depends on how often you like to do laundry)

[Note: baby will sleep alot, so you don't need a bunch of fancy clothes unless you want them.]

Onsies if it's hot.

Snowsuit with slot for car seat --if it's winter

A hat to keep baby's head warm.

A few soft blankets

socks (our babies feet were cold so he wore socks inside his sleepers.)

Didn't need:

Bottle Warmer -as you can mix the bottles as you need them with warm water

Changing Table -I used the floor, bed, or crib...whatever was handy.
